More things have been accomplished today, and I am feeling really good about it. Here it goes:
1) Mine V1: I modeled a little tiny gold mine in Blender (as best as I could, art will get better with time), and added it to the game. I then added the functionality for its production, cost, placement conditions, and more. Making it fully functional and expanding the game's current playable state.
2) Card Effect Manager: I have added more advanced control features for the game that allow me to enable more accurate and in-depth controls for each effect a card can have. For example, there is now a global check box, that will apply the effect to every city. A new check box on the effect to discern if it needs a settlement, and a list area for you to list tiles the card should have effects on. All have been added to the game, and now it is just a matter of going through and adding in each card and custom effect.
4) New Cards and Techs: Added some more cards, and fixed the tech color bug. Now when you open the tech tree, all tech buttons auto-change to the correct color and have all of their other settings set up for the color (hover, active, deactivated, clicked, etc). I also added techs and cards to the tech for the first generation of industrial and agricultural techs. You can now research and get these cards added to your hand for playing.
5) Network Functionality Expansion: I have now set it up so that the players are added to a list when they log into the game, and then that list is synced across all players. This way when a player wants to interact with another player (war, trade, but/sell, etc) they can do it through this method. Just reference the list, and get connected to the player. Yay!
6) Play Test Realization: I have played a version of the game with the basic cards, techs, and buildings (settlements and mines), and realized that certain things will need to be balanced to make game play more fun and enjoyable. On the bright side, it was a lot of fun to be able to actually play the game. I thought it was enjoyable, and I simply can't wait for the game to get even bigger and better.
Alright, that is it, good night, and good bye!
